How it works
The tool renders each page, re-encodes it at a quality (and, if needed, a scale) that lands under your target, and rebuilds the PDF — all on your device. It’s ideal for scanned marksheets and certificates that come out as multi-megabyte PDFs.
Grayscale for text documents
For a typed marksheet or certificate, grayscale shrinks the file substantially with no real loss of legibility. Leave it off for documents where colour matters.
Your privacy
Your PDF never leaves your device. Pages are rendered and recompressed in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged.

- How does the PDF compressor work?
- It re-renders each page and re-encodes it as a compressed image, stepping quality (and if needed, resolution) down until the PDF fits your KB target. A grayscale option shrinks scanned documents further.
- Will the text still be selectable after compression?
- No — pages become images, so text can no longer be selected or copied. For exam-portal uploads this is fine (they check size and readability), but keep your original PDF too.
- What size targets can I choose?
- Common portal limits — 100, 200, and 500 KB — plus custom targets. Preview the result before downloading.
- Is my PDF uploaded?
