Why “as on” date matters
Every government exam notification specifies a reference date — usually 1 August or 1 January — on which your age must fall inside the allowed window. Being eligible today doesn't mean you're eligible on that exact date. This calculator does the math precisely, including leap years.
Relaxations for reserved categories
This tool shows the general-category age limits. OBC candidates typically get 3 years of relaxation, SC/ST candidates 5 years, and PwD candidates 10 years — but exact relaxations vary by exam and are notified each year. Always cross-check the official notification for your specific category before applying.
