No. The NEET UG and JEE Main bulletins give a minimum of 50 KB. Rescan the document at a higher resolution, or compress the original scan with a target of about 250 KB so it stays above the floor.

Is the CUET UG limit the same?

NTA asks for certificates as PDFs between 50 and 300 KB. The NEET UG 2026 bulletin applies it to the category certificate, the Class X certificate and marksheet and the PwBD certificate; the JEE Main 2026 bulletin applies it to the Class 10 document and the UDID certificate.

That window has a floor as well as a ceiling. A one-page PDF from a scanning app can come out at 30 KB and be rejected as too small. The compressor below aims for 300 KB. If your file is already under 300 KB and above 50 KB, it passes as it is and needs no compressing at all.

Tips for this size

Look at the size before compressing. The tool tells you when a PDF is already under the target, and a file between 50 and 300 KB is ready to upload.
Set the target to 280 KB for a little margin. NTA does not say how it counts a kilobyte.
If a compressed file drops below 50 KB, compress again with a higher target such as 250 KB, or leave grayscale off so the file keeps more detail.
NTA wants the scan clearly legible. Zoom in on the preview and check the roll number and the issuing authority before you download.
