Compress to the exact KB the portal wants.

Drop a photo, marksheet, or certificate and bring it under any size limit — 50, 100, 200, 500 KB — without it turning blurry. Runs entirely in your browser; your documents are never uploaded.

It is not just photos — every document has a size limit

Government application portals cap the size of every upload: the photo and signature, yes, but also your 10th and 12th marksheets, degree certificates, and caste, EWS, PwBD, or domicile certificates. Limits are commonly 100–500 KB per file. A phone photo of a marksheet is often 2–5 MB, so it has to be compressed before it will upload.

Why grayscale helps for scanned documents

For a typed marksheet or certificate, black text reads identically in grayscale and the file shrinks dramatically — often by more than half — with no loss of legibility. Turn on the grayscale option for text documents; leave it off for your colour passport photo.

Your privacy

Compression happens on your device using the HTML Canvas API. Your files are never uploaded, stored, cached, or logged. You can confirm this in your browser's DevTools → Network tab — no file transfer happens when you compress.
