For the SSC Constable (Executive) Male and Female in Delhi Police Examination, your photo is captured live in the online application — there is nothing to upload or resize. The signature should be about 140×60 pixels and 10–20 KB. Resize your signature with the tool above. It's free and runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
This form captures your photo live during the online application (webcam or phone camera) — there is nothing to upload or resize.
SSC takes the photo live in the application form, through the camera of your computer or phone, so there is no photo file to upload. Find good light and a plain background, keep the camera at eye level, look straight at it and keep your whole face inside the frame on screen. Take off any cap, mask or glasses. Taking a picture of an old photo gets the form rejected. These rules come from the 2025 notice (applications closed 21 October 2025); check the next notice before you apply again.
The notice gives a range or a physical size, not one exact pixel size. Treat these dimensions as a target and check the notes and the quoted notice text below.
SSC gives the signature as a physical size, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high, in JPEG between 10 and 20 KB. The KB range is the limit the form checks. A blurred or very small signature gets the form rejected. If you completed Aadhaar authentication in your One-Time Registration, SSC will not reject the form over the photo or signature.
“The candidates are not required to have a pre-existing photograph of himself/ herself for submitting the Online Application Form. The Online Application Form module has been so designed to capture a real-time photograph of the candidate while filling up the Online Application Form.”

About the Delhi Police Constable application form
The SSC Constable (Executive) Male and Female in Delhi Police Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. The online application portal has strict requirements for photo and signature uploads — images outside the specified dimensions or file size are automatically rejected.
The photograph is captured live by the online application (or the authority's app) — you don't upload or resize a photo. The signature should be about 140×60 pixels and between 10 and 20 KB.
Common reasons Delhi Police Constable forms get rejected
- A live photo that breaks the photo rules in the notice.
- Live photo taken against a background the notice does not allow.
- A cap or mask in the live photo.
- Wrong file format. The notice asks for JPG.
Tips and tricks for the Delhi Police Constable upload
- 1The form needs one file from you: the signature, as a JPEG between 10 and 20 KB, about 6 cm wide and 2 cm high. The form takes the photo itself with your camera.
- 2Before the camera step, find good light and a plain background, keep the camera at eye level, and take off any cap, mask or glasses. Don't point the camera at an old printed photo: SSC rejects those forms.
- 3Do Aadhaar authentication in your One-Time Registration. SSC then won't reject the form over the photo or signature.
- 4Men need a valid LMV licence (motorcycle or car) by the day of the physical test. A learner licence doesn't count.
- 5Keep your height and chest in mind before you pay: men need at least 170 cm and a chest of 81 cm with 4 cm expansion, women at least 157 cm. The notice lowers these for hill-area residents, ST candidates (SC and ST for women) and sons and daughters of Delhi Police staff.
