RRB Technician photo & signature size
Photo taken live in the formSignature about 140×60 px, 30–49 KB
For the RRB Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III Recruitment, your photo is captured live in the online application — there is nothing to upload or resize. The signature should be about 140×60 pixels and 30–49 KB. Resize your signature with the tool above. It's free and runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
This form captures your photo live during the online application (webcam or phone camera) — there is nothing to upload or resize.
RRB took the photo live inside the application (webcam or phone front camera), so there was no photo file to upload. Applications for CEN 02/2026 closed on 29 July 2026 and the CBT runs from 6 to 9 October 2026 (tentative). Look the way you did in the live photo: your appearance must match it at every stage, and Aadhaar-linked biometric checks happen at the exam centre.
The notice gives a range or a physical size, not one exact pixel size. Treat these dimensions as a target and check the notes and the quoted notice text below.
JPG/JPEG, 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 px, scanned at 100 DPI or more. Black ink on white paper, running (joined-up) handwriting, not block or capital letters, centred in a 35 mm × 20 mm box. Sign the same way at the CBT, document verification and the medical: RRB matches it at each stage.
“Candidates are not required to upload a pre-existing photograph while applying. … Live photo may be captured by web cam or by front camera (screen side camera) of the mobile phone.”

About the RRB Technician application form
The RRB Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III Recruitment is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards. The online application portal has strict requirements for photo and signature uploads — images outside the specified dimensions or file size are automatically rejected.
The photograph is captured live by the online application (or the authority's app) — you don't upload or resize a photo. The signature should be about 140×60 pixels and between 30 and 49 KB on plain white paper in black ink.
Common reasons RRB Technician forms get rejected
- A live photo that breaks the photo rules in the notice.
- Wrong file format. The notice asks for JPG.
- Signature on lined or coloured paper instead of plain white.
Tips and tricks for the RRB Technician upload
- 1Applications are closed, so the live photo and signature you gave are fixed now. Go to the CBT looking the way you did in the photo, because RRB checks your face against it.
- 2Bring your original Aadhaar or an e-verified Aadhaar printout for the biometric check at the centre, and keep your Aadhaar unlocked with UIDAI before exam day.
- 3Don't put henna on your hands or feet before the exam. RRB says it gets in the way of the biometric capture.
- 4When you sign at the exam centre, sign the way you did on the form, in running handwriting. RRB compares your signature at the CBT, document verification and the medical.
