This form captures your photo live during the online application (webcam or phone camera) — there is nothing to upload or resize.
RRB takes the photo live inside the application, with a webcam or your phone's front camera, so there is no photo file to upload. Wear non-white clothes, dark if you can; no cap, mask or glasses; camera at eye level with your whole face inside the frame. You can preview and retake it until you submit. If the live photo fails the match, you upload Annexure-VII signed by a Gazetted Officer. Applications close on 14 October 2026 at 11:59 PM; the fee can be paid until 16 October.
The notice gives a range or a physical size, not one exact pixel size. Treat these dimensions as a target and check the notes and the quoted notice text below.
JPG/JPEG, 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 px, scanned at 100 DPI or more. Sign in black ink on white paper in running (joined-up) handwriting, not block or capital letters, centred in a 35 mm × 20 mm box. A non-white background, non-black ink or a thumb impression gets the application rejected.

About the RRB Paramedical application form
The RRB Paramedical Categories Recruitment (Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, Lab Assistant and others) is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards. The online application portal has strict requirements for photo and signature uploads — images outside the specified dimensions or file size are automatically rejected.
The photograph is captured live by the online application (or the authority's app) — you don't upload or resize a photo. The signature should be about 140×60 pixels and between 30 and 49 KB on plain white paper in black ink.
Common reasons RRB Paramedical forms get rejected
- A live photo that breaks the photo rules in the notice.
- A cap or mask in the live photo.
- Wrong file format. The notice asks for JPG.
- Signature on lined or coloured paper instead of plain white.
Tips and tricks for the RRB Paramedical upload
- 1Sign in running, joined-up handwriting with a black pen on plain white paper. RRB rejects signatures in capital or block letters, on a non-white background or in non-black ink.
- 2The signature file must be 30 to 49 KB, and a file under 30 KB fails too. If the resizer gives you 22 KB, raise the JPG quality instead of shrinking the image, and never go below 140×60 pixels.
- 3For the live photo, wear a dark shirt, sit in daylight and hold the camera at eye level. Take off any cap, mask or glasses before you start.
- 4Never point the camera at a printed photo or another screen. RRB rejects those applications outright.
- 5The age band changes with the post: 18-33 for Lab Assistant, 20-35 for Pharmacist, 20-40 for Nursing Superintendent. Check the band for every post you tick as a preference.
