TNPSC Group 4 — photo & signature size
For the TNPSC Combined Civil Services Examination IV (Group IV Services) 2026, the photo must be 130×170 pixels, 20–50 KB, in JPG format on a white background. The signature must be 230×75 pixels and 10–20 KB. Resize yours below — free, in your browser, nothing uploaded.
Get a colour photo taken at a studio on or after 6 October 2026, with your name and the date of the photo printed along the bottom. The whole image is 4.5 cm high and 3.5 cm wide (170 × 130 px). Your face takes the top 3.0 cm (115 px) and the name-and-date strip takes the bottom 1.5 cm (55 px). Face the camera on a white background, with both ears and part of your neck showing. Save it as Photograph.jpg, 20 to 50 KB. Do not upload a mobile-phone photo, a selfie, a photocopy or a photo from a function or trip; TNPSC can reject the application for it. TNPSC wants a new photo with every application, so the one in your One Time Registration will not do. Applications close at 11:59 PM on 5 November 2026, and the correction window runs from 9 to 11 November.

“Candidates shall upload their photograph taken on or after the date of notification at the time of submission of each and every online application. The photograph should be in colour, of passport size, against a white background and taken in a photo studio. … visible in the photograph of height 4.5 cm (170 pixels) and width 3.5 cm (130 pixels). Of the total height of the photograph, the image of the candidate shall be 3.0 cm (115 pixels) and the candidate`s name and date of photography shall be 1.5 cm (55 pixels) … cropped to show only the photograph of size 20KB-50KB saved as Photograph.jpg and uploaded.”

About the TNPSC Group 4 application form
The TNPSC Combined Civil Services Examination IV (Group IV Services) 2026 is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The online application portal has strict requirements for photo and signature uploads — images outside the specified dimensions or file size are automatically rejected.
For the photograph, you need a colour image of 130×170 pixels with file size between 20 KB and 50 KB, saved in JPG format with a white background. The signature must be 230×75 pixels and between 10 and 20 KB.
Common reasons TNPSC Group 4 forms get rejected
- File size over 50 KB (most common — phone photos are often 2–5 MB).
- Dimensions not exactly 130×170 pixels.
- Coloured or patterned background — the form asks for a plain white background.
- Wrong file format. The notice asks for JPG.
- Signature on lined or coloured paper instead of plain white.
