The Joint CSIR-UGC NET is the science counterpart of UGC-NET, held by NTA in five subjects: chemical, earth, life, mathematical and physical sciences. It decides eligibility for JRF, Assistant Professor posts and PhD admission. We read the notices on csirnet.nta.nic.in.

How we check each notice

A script reads each body's official notice page several times a day and records every new document. Before a notice appears here, we read it and write the summary from its text. A second check then compares the summary with the PDF, and we cut anything the document does not say. Deadlines come from the notice itself. When a body changes a date, the newer notice gets its own entry and the older one stays, so you can see what changed.

Tips and tricks

  1. 1Open the PDF before you act. Our summary is short on purpose; the notice has the fee table, the eligibility rules and the exact upload instructions.
  2. 2Note the closing time, not only the date. NTA forms close at 11:50 pm, some commissions close at 3:30 pm or 5:30 pm, and fee payment can close on a different day from the form.
  3. 3A correction window is not a second chance to apply. It usually opens only some fields, and some bodies charge for every change.
  4. 4Get your photo and signature ready before the form opens, using the spec on our exam page. Read the notice for the method too: the RRB NTPC 2026 form takes a live webcam photo instead of an upload.
  5. 5Save the PDF and a copy of your submitted form. Bodies move or replace files, and a saved copy settles questions later.
  6. 6Use the kind filter. "Form open", "Last date" and "Correction window" entries need you to do something; "Circular" and "Syllabus" entries explain a rule.

Frequently asked questions

Where does CSIR NET publish its notices?
On its own website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. That is the page our script reads, and every entry below links to the file it found there.
How often is this list updated?
A script checks each body's notice page several times a day, and we rebuild this page whenever the site is updated, which is most days. The body's own website always has a notice first, so for a date that matters today, check there as well.
Are these the official notices?
No. Each entry is our plain-English summary, and its link opens the official PDF or page. If our summary and the notice ever differ, the notice is right; please tell us through the contact page.
How is "closes in" worked out?
Your browser works it out each time you open the page, using today's date in India (IST). With JavaScript off, you see the count from the day the page was built.
