Tips and tricks for the WBPSC Sub-Surveyor upload
- 1The age is counted on 1 January 2024, not 2026, because this is a 2024 advertisement. Check your Madhyamik certificate date against that day.
- 2WBPSC accepts only the date of birth shown in your Madhyamik or equivalent certificate.
- 3PwBD candidates get no extra years: the advertisement allows them "upto 45 years", the same as the general upper limit.
- 4Only Paper II counts for the merit list, and Survey Engineering is half of it (100 of 200 marks). Practise MCQs at diploma level.
- 5Each wrong MCQ in Paper II costs 0.25 marks. A blank answer costs nothing, so skip a question when you can't rule out any option.
- 6Paper I is in Bengali or Nepali and you need 30% in it, or your Paper II marks are not counted.
