Tips and tricks for the WBPSC English Stenographer upload
- 1The age limit is counted on 1 January 2025, not 2026, because this is the 2025 examination. Check your Madhyamik certificate date against that day.
- 2WBPSC accepts only the date of birth in your Madhyamik or equivalent certificate.
- 3Paper II (Dictation and Transcription) carries 400 of the 600 marks and is the first tie-breaker, so put most of your practice into shorthand.
- 4If your mother tongue is not Bengali or Nepali, WBPSC tests your Bengali at the typing test, and a poor result can cancel your candidature.
- 5Permanent West Bengal government Schedule B stenographers, typists, steno-typists and clerk-cum-typists have no age limit.
- 6The edit window works only once. Do all your corrections in the same visit.
