- 1First APPSC form? Register through OTPR on psc.ap.gov.in. Your fee and age relaxation details come from OTPR and lock once you pay, so fix them first.

- Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-II, Notification No. 25/2026, dated 9 October 2026: 97 district posts. Social Welfare has 41 (7 carried forward), Tribal Welfare 23 (3 carried forward) and Backward Classes Welfare 33 (1 carried forward). Pay scale Rs. 37,640-1,15,500. - Corrections: open for 7 days after the last date, at Rs. 100 for each correction. Name, fee, age relaxation and community fields stay locked. (p8, Step V)
- Exam: a computer-based test (CBRT). These are district posts, so you sit the test in the district you apply for. APPSC will announce the date later. (p1, para 1.5; p10, paras 10.1.1-10.1.2)
- Fee: Rs. 250 application processing fee plus Rs. 80 examination fee. SC, ST, BC, PBD and ex-servicemen candidates, Andhra Pradesh white card families and unemployed youth (with a declaration) skip the Rs. 80 but still pay the Rs. 250. Candidates from other states pay both, except PBD and ex-servicemen. (p9, para 8)
- Education, held on the date of the notification (9 October 2026): Social Welfare post, a degree with B.Ed or B.T; Tribal Welfare post, a degree and a Diploma in Education or B.Ed; BC Welfare post, a degree with B.Ed or equivalent. (p2, para 3)
- Exam pattern (objective, degree standard): Paper I General Studies and Mental Ability and Paper II Education, 150 questions, 150 minutes and 150 marks each: 300 marks. A wrong answer costs a third of the marks for that question. Papers come in English and Telugu. - Minimum aggregate to be shortlisted: 40% for OC, sportspersons, ex-servicemen and EWS, 35% for BC, 30% for SC, ST and PBD. (p12, para 14.2)
- Tribal Welfare posts in the Scheduled Areas: 90% of the posts in girls' hostels and ashram schools there go to local Scheduled Tribe candidates. (p3, para 4.2)
