- 4Between 28 October and 1 November 2026, log in, open the edit window once, check every field against your printout and upload the documents.

This cycle
- Clerkship Examination 2024, Advertisement No. 12/2024, dated 6 October 2026: lower division assistant and lower division clerk posts in the West Bengal Secretariat, directorates, district offices and similar offices, at Pay Level 6 (Rs. 22,700 to 58,500) plus allowances. WBPSC will announce the number of vacancies later. (p1)

- Part-I (objective) is planned for December 2026 or thereabouts, at centres in Kolkata and other districts. (p1)
- Education: Madhyamik pass or equivalent, plus elementary computer skills and typing at 20 words a minute in English or 10 in Bengali; you choose the language in the form. You must read, write and speak Bengali, unless your mother tongue is Nepali. (p1-2)
- Fee: Rs. 110 plus service charges. SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and PwBD candidates (40% and above) pay nothing; OBC candidates pay. (p2)

- Exam pattern: Part-I has 100 one-mark questions in 90 minutes (English 30, General Studies 40, Arithmetic 30), with 0.25 marks off for each wrong answer. Part-II is a one-hour written paper: English (50 marks) and one of Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali or Santali (50 marks). Only those who qualify in both parts take the computer and typing test. Tips and tricks for the WBPSC Clerkship upload
- 1The age limit is counted on 1 January 2024, not 2026, because this is the 2024 examination. Check your Madhyamik certificate date against that day.
- 2WBPSC accepts only the date of birth in your Madhyamik or equivalent certificate.
- 3The edit window works only once. Do all your corrections and uploads in the same visit.
- 4SC, ST and OBC candidates from other states are treated as general candidates: no age relaxation, no fee exemption.
- 5The advertisement applies the West Bengal OBC notification of 18 May 2026. Check that your class is on that list before you claim OBC.
