Common sizes
One-click presets for the sizes exam forms ask for most.
Why exam photo specs are so strict
Indian government portals use automated image verification systems that reject uploads failing even by a few pixels or kilobytes. SSC typically requires 200×230 pixels under 50 KB; UPSC asks for 350×350 pixels up to 300 KB; RRB NTPC uses 320×240. A rejected form during application season can cost you an entire exam cycle.
How this tool works
We use high-quality Lanczos resampling to resize your image to the exact pixel target, then binary-search JPEG quality to land inside the file-size window. Images are fitted onto a clean white background automatically — no transparent edges, no aspect ratio surprises. The entire pipeline runs in your browser using JavaScript and the HTML Canvas API.

Frequently asked questions
- Which exams does the photo resizer have presets for?
- 20+ Indian government exams — SSC CGL/CHSL/GD, UPSC CSE/NDA/CDS, IBPS PO/Clerk, SBI PO/Clerk, RRB NTPC/Group D/ALP, NEET UG, JEE Main, CTET and more. Pick your exam from the dropdown and the exact pixel dimensions and KB limits are applied automatically.
- Can it resize a signature as well as a photo?
- Yes — switch to signature mode and the tool applies your exam's signature spec (for example 140×60 pixels) instead of the photo spec.
